Bonjour

The Xareltoo and the JR 28X. Both went well and I love the feel of the 28X.
It was a bit windier than I would have liked for the first flight, which meant it was a bit bumpy. As such, i couldn't get a very good idea of the trim, but enough to know that it flys very well.
The only trim required so far was a bit of down elevator, so will be adjusting the stab incidence before the next flight. Some expo changes and a throttle mix to get the feel I want will also be made.
Normal flight, snap and spin settings are the same as Loïc Burbaud uses on his Xareltoo, with the exception of aileron throw for snaps, which are 5mm less. I can't get what Loïc uses without changing servo arms. Snaps are quick and accurate, stopping as soon as the controls are released and stays pretty well online. Aileron Roll rate and elevator feel very similar to what I am used to, so I don't envisage too much of a change there. Knife edge was a breeze, with just a touch of rudder and no noticeable roll coupling required.
My gut feel is that it may need a bit more prop. I'll have a few more flights then try the APC 21 x 10.5 carbon.
The new APC 20.5 x 10.5 carbon progressive pitch prop designed by Chip Hyde, might be worth a try as well.
Really looking forward to getting a bunch more flights on both.

De la part de Scott :
Another 3 flights on the Xareltoo.
The only mix so far is the normal down line mix.

Bonjour Luc
Léo 83 a écrit :Bonjour Claude,
down line doit etre la descente verticale,
@+ Luc

I use primer because it fills any scratches or small imperfections. It adds very little weight as most of it is sanded away.

White paint gives a much nicer finish than the gel coat.

This is at the World Cup, Sydney Australia in March 2017.

I'm very happy with the way plane flys and it looks very good in the air. The YS 185cdi gives very smooth power delivery and good braking, which provides good constant speed.
Soon to have the DZ 200CDi 8-) .

Final weight - 4990 grams
Sound - 88 db. Quieter than most of the electrics at the World Cup :) .
